Domestic Freight
From Montréal to every province, Stoneaswift domestic services operate on fixed departure windows and confirmed delivery dates — not estimates.

Structured lanes, documented handoffs, and no ambiguity about who is responsible at each step.
Every domestic shipment begins with a confirmed pickup window tied to a driver manifest. Cargo is scanned at origin, at the Montréal sortation hub, and at the destination terminal before final delivery. Full-truckload (FTL) customers receive a dedicated unit for the entire movement; less-than-truckload (LTL) customers join a consolidated run on one of our scheduled lanes. Standard transit times are contractually stated — if we miss the committed window without force-majeure cause, clients receive a service credit. Our dispatch team is reachable by direct line and email throughout the operating day, and the live tracking portal updates every 15 minutes via GPS telemetry on all units.
Concrete deliverables at each stage of the shipment lifecycle.
Consolidation runs depart the Montréal hub Monday through Saturday at 06:00 and 14:00. FTL pickups are scheduled within a two-hour window of your preferred time, confirmed 24 hours in advance.
Cargo is scanned at origin, at the hub, and at destination. Each scan generates a timestamped event visible in the client portal within five minutes of occurrence.
If a shipment misses its contracted delivery date for any reason within our operational control, the client receives a credit equal to 15% of the shipment invoice — automatically applied, no claim required.
Each domestic account is assigned a named dispatch coordinator who knows the account's lanes, cargo types, and delivery contacts. No call-centre queues; direct phone and email access during operating hours.
Understanding scope keeps expectations accurate and partnerships durable.
Stoneaswift domestic freight does not currently serve remote northern territories (Nunavut, NWT north of Yellowknife, or Yukon communities reachable only by air or winter road). Hazardous materials classified under TDG Classes 1, 6.1, and 7 require pre-approval and may be declined depending on carrier partner availability. Perishable cargo requiring continuous refrigeration below -18°C is outside our current temperature-controlled capability — we can refer clients to specialist cold-chain carriers for those movements. Delivery time commitments are based on standard Canadian road conditions; delays caused by severe weather, provincial road closures, or labour disruptions are treated as force-majeure events.
Our weekly LTL runs from Montréal to Calgary used to average two missed windows per month. After six months with Stoneaswift, we have had one delay — a snowstorm on the Trans-Canada in February — and they notified us four hours before the original ETA so we could rearrange our receiving dock schedule.
